There is a growing disconnect between the number of banks willing to buy a competitor and those interested in selling.
In a survey by Bank Director magazine, 52 percent of respondents said their bank plans to purchase a healthy bank within the next year, but only 5 percent said they’re willing to sell.
Only 24 percent said their banks were able to buy a healthy bank in 2013.
