Jeff Yowell, founder of Datacore Marketing, said he ignored several offers to buy his business before he finally started thinking seriously about selling.
Yowell had built Westwood-based Datacore into a $15 million-revenue company with 120 employees by the time he sold a majority stake to WPP Group in 2007. Yowell received a partial multimillion-dollar payment upfront and maintained control as he sold the rest of his stake in the next five years.
