Overland Park-based Compass Minerals International Inc. hired 30-year mining industry veteran Kevin Crutchfield as its new president and CEO, effective May 7.
Crutchfield had been CEO at Contura Energy Inc. since July 2016. He also has been an executive at Alpha Natural Resources Inc.; Enterprise Mining Co. LLC; AMVEST Corp.; AEI Resources Inc.; Pittston Coal Co.; and Cyprus Amax Coal Co.
