Lenexa-based No-Spill Inc., a manufacturer of gas cans, is suing a competitor for infringing on patents for a device that inhibits gasoline from exploding.
No-Spill said Scepter Manufacturing of Miami, Okla., has been making and selling gasoline containers that infringe on its patents and also on the trade dress of No-Spill cans having a distinctive plastic nozzle assembly with a tapered spout.
