It was interesting to see that the only two Kansas City area advisers on the Barron’s magazine list of Top 100 Independent Advisers for 2013 earned the No. 1 and No. 2 spots.
Even more interesting is that not only are both advisers from Leawood, but they are only a few blocks apart.
Peter Mallouk, president of Creative Planning Inc., earned top billing on the list. Marty Bicknell, founder of Mariner Wealth Advisors, landed at No. 2.
