Kansas City-based Ripple Glass is expanding its effort to remove glass from area landfills by rolling out a new commercial collection program that allows area businesses to recycle glass.
Ripple Glass is accepting applications from businesses, such as bars and restaurants, with a high volume of glass waste. The goal is to find businesses that can fill about two or three 65-gallon containers a week. That’s the equivalent of about 1,000 to 1,500 beer bottles or 440 to 660 wine bottles.
