Giving a speech Wednesday at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City, President Barack Obama had an obvious agenda in mind.
Facing a room full of his core supporters, the president’s goal was to inspire people to vote in the midterm elections. His pitch asked people to get directly involved in pressuring Congress to pay more attention to solving problems for the people who gave them their job and less attention to lobbyists trying to maintain the status quo for special interests.
