Missouri and Kansas are two of the best states to retire in, based on a new study released by Bankrate.com.
Missouri ranked 11th on the list while Kansas ranked 13th. The study looked at medical care, crime, tax burden, average temperature and cost of living.
Missouri has an average temperature of 54.8 degrees, the 12th lowest cost of living, 3.1 hospital beds per 1,000 people, a property and violent crime rate of 3,756 per 100,000 people, and a state and local tax burden of about 9 percent.
