Reporting its first results since the merger with Direct Edge Holdings LLC, BATS Global Markets Inc. saw its average daily volume and value of trades increase compared to the combined results from the separate entities last year, but it lost some market share.
BATS posted overall equities market average daily volume of 1.43 billion in February, up 2 percent from a year ago on a pro forma basis. The notational value of those trades reached $1.1 trillion, up 20.8 percent from a year ago.
