Somerhalder leaves Mutual of Omaha Bank

After helping Mutual of Omaha Bank establish itself in the Kansas City area, Sam Somerhalder resigned as the local leader for the bank and accepted a new job at a competitor. Topeka-based CoreFirst Bank & Trust lured Somerhalder away, hiring him as executive vice president and chief lending officer for their entire company.
