T-Mobile US Inc. announced Thursday that it will rebrand Kansas City’s premier downtown arena from Sprint Center to T-Mobile Center.
The name change comes on the heels of T-Mobile (Nasdaq: TMUS) completing its acquisition of Sprint Corp. in April.
The arena opened in 2007 at the corner of 13th Street and Grand Boulevard in downtown Kansas City. Sprint signed a 25-year naming rights contract. With the rebranding, the arena now will be known as T-Mobile Center through at least 2032.
