Attempted fraud against bank deposit accounts reached $14.8 billion and banks stopped nearly 90 percent of that, according to the 2013 American Bankers Association Deposit Account Fraud Survey Report.
According to the survey, conducted between March and July 2013, bank prevention measures stopped $13 billion worth of fraudulent transactions.
