The trustee for Ferrellgas’ ESOP is asking a federal court for permission to replace the company’s board and take control of the propane company “before it’s too late.”
The request is part of a countersuit filed Friday by GreatBanc Trust Co. The Illinois company is the trustee for the employee stock-ownership plan for Ferrell Cos. Inc., which owns the general partner that manages publicly traded Ferrellgas Partners LP and owns 23.4% of Ferrellgas Partners.
