Founded in 2014 in Kansas City's Waldo neighborhood, KC Bier Co. earned a bronze medal in the American-Belgo-Style Ale category for its summer seasonal beer Der Bauer. This is the second year in a row that KC Bier earned a medal for Der Bauer. Last year, Der Bauer won a gold medal in the same category.
