The National Labor Relations Board said employers can't put policies in place that prohibit employees from posting all types of criticism about their company on social media.
The new guidance is related to a case involving a company called Coastal Shower Doors that had a social media policy that banned employees from posting any derogatory information about the company. The NLRB concluded that the rule was unlawfully broad.
