Businesses relying on exports and imports as part of their supply chain are starting to feel effects from the partial federal government shutdown.
Beau Jackson, a trade and intellectual property partner at Husch Blackwell LLP in Kansas City, said the shutdown is affecting key entities for foreign trade, such as the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Trade Representative, the Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. International Trade Commission.
