Kansas City-based Nuance Investments completed a management-led buyout of the controlling interest owned by Montage Investments LLC, the asset management arm of Overland Park-based Mariner Holdings LLC.
Mariner Holdings is liquidating virtually all of its asset management businesses to focus entirely on growing Mariner Wealth Advisors, its wealth advisory business. The sale of its controlling interest in Nuance Investments is part of that plan.
