UMB Bank is No. 1 for market share of deposits in the Kansas City area for the eighth straight year — and its lead continues to widen.
UMB Bank posted $11.5 billion in deposits inside the metro area, good for a 20.04 percent share of the market as of June 30. That’s the highest market share for any area bank since 2000. It’s also 7.5 percentage points more than No. 2 Commerce Bank, which had $7.2 billion in local deposits and a 12.5 percent market share.
