Kansas City-based Scorocs LLC is suing a Connecticut nonprofit called Innovations for Poverty Action for infringing on a trademark for the Simple Poverty Scorecard.
Scorocs studies poverty conditions and economic development around the world. It’s owned by Mark Schreiner, who has a doctorate in philosophy and agricultural economics from Ohio State University.
