The Kansas City Comets were sold to a newly formed company called Game Theory Ventures LLC, which is led by Colin Weaver, a 26-year-old sports economist from San Francisco.
Game Theory Ventures is comprised of a group of unknown investors from across the Midwest. Weaver said the group began to pursue an acquisition of the Comets after visiting the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena for a game in February.
