Hoenig will step down as FDIC vice chairman

Tom Hoenig announced that he will step down as vice chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. effective April 30. Hoenig joined the FDIC board of directors in April 2012 and has served a full six-year term. Prior to joining the FDIC, Hoenig spent 38 years with the Federal Reserve Bank, last serving as president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.
