Sporting Kansas City named Jake Reid as its new CEO, succeeding Robb Heineman, who has held the role for the past 14 years.
Reid has been president of Sporting KC since January 2016. Heineman remains a team owner, along with the Neal Patterson family; Cliff Illig, vice chairman and co-founder of Cerner Corp.; Greg Maday, chairman and CEO of SpecChem LLC and co-founder of Rock Island Capital LLC; and Pat Curran, founder and principal of C3 Capital LLC.
