Two local business owners pleaded guilty in federal court to engaging in a pass-through scheme designed to fraudulently land $13.8 million in federal contracts set aside for veteran-owned small businesses.
Jeffrey Wilson, of Loch Lloyd in Belton, and Paul Salavitch, of Kansas City, both pleaded guilty on Tuesday to misdemeanor charges of making a false writing. The two men owned a construction company called Patriot Co. Inc.
