Nasdaq OMX Group shut down trading at about 11 a.m. Central Daylight Time on Thursday due to a "technical glitch."
The stock market was down for nearly two hours sorting out the problem. Trading resumed about 2:10 p.m. CDT.
The company did not cancel open orders on the book prior to re-opening the market, but allowed customers to personally cancel orders prior to resuming trading.
