The new professional basketball team in Kansas City now has a team name, a mascot and coaches, and has signed its first three players.
The team will be called the Kansas City Buzz, and its mascot is a bee named Stinger. The team will play its home games at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City as part of a new league called North American Premier Basketball. It's an eight-team league that will play 32 regular season games from Jan. 1 to May 1, with playoffs that will extend until May 18.
