A St. Louis-area company called Fastrack Erectors was fined $500,000 by a federal court in Missouri after it was found guilty of violating Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and causing the death of an ironworker.
Fastrack was a subcontractor hired to help construct a 300,000-square-foot distribution warehouse in Kansas City. The company supplied on-site supervisors and hired local ironworkers from the local union.
