Nagy Shehata of Olathe pleaded guilty Monday in federal court in Kansas City, Kan., to one count of wire fraud for his role in an investment scam that netted more than $8 million.
Shehata was president of Premier Investment Group Inc. and formed a joint partnership with a co-defendant from Texas named Laura Lee Sorsby, who conducted business through a company called Can Am International, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.
