Cramer Products Inc. sold to Performance Health Inc. for an undisclosed amount. The deal was closed quietly on Tuesday and Cramer employees were informed at lunch the next day.
Cramer is a 95-year-old Gardner-based producer of analgesics, athletic training kits, tape, braces and other products. It is a widely recognized brand in the sports medicine market that has operated as an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) for the past 28 years. So its sale comes as a bit of a surprise.
