Ford Motor Co. celebrated a huge milestone Friday by officially launching production of the newly designed F-150 pickup at its Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo.
Joe Hinrichs, Ford's President of the Americas, led the event, welcoming a multitude of elected officials, including Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon, as well as union delegates, plant employees and members of the media. Hinrichs discussed the completion of Ford's $1.1 billion investment in the plant.
